Eating Out Assessment

The Apple Tree Cafe scored 90% in the Isle of Wight Tourism Eating Out assessment which was carried out in early September 2004.

The cafe scored full marks for:

• providing fresh food
• using local produce
• providing a range of dietry and vegetarian options
• the range and quality of desserts

This is one of the reasons why the cafe carries the Local Produce and Quality Assurance logos.

We make every effort to source fresh local produce whenever possible. The cafe is also supplied with produce from the vegetable garden which is chemical free and managed by two enthusiastic organic growers. Freshly harvested chemical-free produce really does make a difference to the taste of the food served and re-awaken the taste-buds
